On Sunday, December 15th, the Friends of the National World War II Memorial will host a brief Remembrance Ceremony and Candlelit Vigil to honor all those who died during the Battle of the Bulge (December 16, 1944 – January 25, 1945).

As part of the ceremony, we will be reading the names of those who gave their lives during the Battle of the Bulge and are buried in the Ardennes, Henri-Chapelle, Luxembourg, and Netherlands American Cemeteries.

Unfortunately, there is no complete list of the those who died during the Battle of the Bulge.

However, we will be reading those names identified through the American Battle Monuments Commission’s overseas cemeteries.

On December 15th, we will begin with a brief opening ceremony at 3 p.m. Then, starting at 3:15 p.m. through 9 p.m., we will read the more than 6,000 names of those buried at Ardennes, Henri-Chapelle, Luxembourg, and Netherlands American Cemeteries who died during the Battle of the Bulge.

Total 5 volunteers from MKMAC can participate (each person read around 50 names)

Anyone who wants to attend ceremony please let us know.
